Westside UrbanForum is now in its third decade as the premier networking organization dedicated to the land-use dialogue impacting Los Angeles’ Westside. Our monthly speaker series features good company and distinguished insightful speakers focused on a lively debate about the future of our urban fabric.  As a group of developers, planners, designers, architects and community members engaged in all facets of planning and development, we seek to increase the quality of policy discussions impacting the Westside.

Stadium Moneyball: The Art of Getting Angelenos to Believe!

Since 1995, Los Angeles has been by far the largest U.S. market without an NFL team. In recent years, several groups have worked to bring football back and have been unsuccessful. Farmers Field, slated to be located adjacent to Staples Center and LA Live, and backed by entertainment giant AEG, may be the project that finally succeeds. All we need to do is believe!

Yet there are those who say a new stadium is not in LA's best interest. Due to the dense urban setting, traffic and parking are critical issues. How will these issues be addressed? What about tailgating? Could Los Angeles pioneer a new way of celebrating football?
